Dana Ray

Dana Ray has nearly 25 years of experience serving in and supporting public education. Before joining CSG, Dana served as the Chief of Human Capital Management for the San Antonio Independent School District. Prior to that, she was a founding team member and assisted in launching the district’s first Office of Innovation which was responsible for access and enrollment services, school design and charter partnerships, continuous improvement, and the oversight of 20 of the district’s innovative school models.

Over the course of her career, Dana has served in a number of roles, including district administrator, school leader, instructional coordinator, and teacher. Dana specializes in systems reform, leadership development, school design and redesign, and charter authorizing.

She received a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University and a Masters in Educational Administration from Trinity University. Dana fell in love with learning at an early age, declaring her intent to teach while in first grade, and to this day, continues to be a passionate advocate for increasing educational access and opportunities for all children.
