Laura's career in education began as a teacher for DC Public Schools where she quickly established a passion for urban education. Laura then gained experience with innovative school models, including serving as a school leader at the Young Women’s Leadership Academy in the San Antonio Independent School District, before taking on the challenge of opening San Antonio's first public Montessori school with a diverse-by-design model for equitable enrollment.
